Okay, wrap star.

Or Plasti-dip. Either way it looks like crap.

Yes, I lol'd.
He'd even wrapped, yes wrapped, every badge on the car. Not dipped, mind you, but wrapped. Every. Single. Thing.

Oh Lord, I can't even comprehend that kind of misguided dedication. Sure he's happy as hell with it, though, probably shows it off to everyone at his MMA gym whenever he can.

I half expected to see one of those Zombie Response Unit stickers in the back window.

Lol, I'm surprised there wasn't one either. Maybe he's saving up room for his Tapout and Affliction sticker collection.

Hey man, watch where you're sitting. I got some new Ed Hardy T-shirts back there.
:P

Pretty sure that's Plastidip.
Some dipped cars can look pretty sweet, but sadly murdered out is played out.

How could you tell it was a wrap and not dip?
![]() 10/12/2013 at 23:11 |

It's not.
I took the picture. I got close. It's a wrap.

It was vinyl, for one. Wraps tend to be thicker, for two. The edges, for three. This is a local car (thanks, dealership badge!) and there's no one in the city who works with spray-dip, believe me I've searched (I'm sure some guys have the gear, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the garages had tried) but there's nothing commercially available.
But yeah, it's a wrap.

I mean, the nice thing about plasti-dip is that it's pretty easy to do it yourself...
But yeah, if you got a close look at it then that makes sense.

My first plastidip stripe knows what you're talking about. It's all like, "Hey, I'm Dip."

I've gotten some dip jobs that looked passable, but it takes a fair bit of practice.

Oh yeah, it's easy peasy once you know what you're doing.
That was just my first. My second was better, my third better still. The want is strong to dip my wheels for winter.

I dipped mine, turned out really well considering conditions were far from ideal.

That looks really nice, in the picture, at least.
What're those wheels to? Some sort of Albanian car?

It looked really, really nice for the first 12 hours. They've been varying shades of brake dust since then.

Should'a gone black.

Can't stand black wheels. They never look good in practice. Prefer a dark gunmetal generally.
Besides, went with white because you rarely see white wheels, and I think it looks really nice against a yellow car.

I don't disagree.
I'm just sayin' that black dip hides a lot. It's like the opposite of a black car, which shows all.
